Privacy Policy

Alora Wake (“the App”) is developed by Mark Kawecki (“we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains what data the App collects, how it is used, and your choices regarding that data.
Our principle is simple: we collect only what the App needs to function. We do not sell your data. We do not track you. We do not show ads.
Data We Collect
All data listed below is collected solely for app functionality. None of it is linked to your identity or used for tracking.
Health & Fitness Data
Sleep analysis, heart rate, and HRV data from Apple HealthKit. Used for sleep tracking, quality scoring, and Smart Wake timing. Stored on-device and encrypted. Never sent to external servers.
Location Data
Precise location used for weather forecasts, traffic-based alarm adjustments, and geofencing. Location is processed on-device and sent only to Apple WeatherKit and MapKit for forecast and routing data. We do not store your location history on any server.
User Content
Alarm configurations and settings. If you use alarm sharing, this data is synced via Apple CloudKit and governed by Apple’s iCloud privacy policies. We do not have access to your CloudKit data.
Audio Data
Microphone access is used only for vocal wake-up challenges when you enable them. Audio is processed on-device in real time and is never recorded, stored, or transmitted.
Phone Number
If you enable the Backup Person feature, we store the phone number you provide to send SMS notifications via Twilio when an alarm goes unanswered. This number is used solely for this purpose and is not shared with any other service.
Data We Do Not Collect

Third-Party Services
The App integrates with the following third-party services. Each integration is optional and requires your explicit action to enable:

Data Storage & Security
- ✓Health data is stored on-device only, encrypted with AES-256-GCM
- ✓Sensitive settings values are encrypted at rest
- ✓No personal data is stored on external servers we control
- ✓CloudKit data is governed by Apple’s iCloud security
- ✓Subscription management is handled entirely by Apple’s App Store
Your Choices
- HealthKit: Revoke access anytime in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Health > Alora Wake.
- Location: Revoke or change to “While Using” in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services > Alora Wake.
- Microphone: Revoke in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Microphone.
- Apple Music: Disconnect from within the App’s settings.
- Notifications: Manage in iOS Settings > Notifications > Alora Wake.
- Delete all data: Uninstalling the App removes all locally stored data.
Children’s Privacy
Alora Wake is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with data, please contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
